Meanwhile, the news about monkeypox in Delhi has created a stir. Two suspected cases with symptoms of monkeypox have been reported in Delhi. According to the information received, both these suspected patients have been admitted to Lok Nayak Hospital Hospital in Delhi after this. Both these suspects are said to be citizens of African origin.
Treatment according to guidelines
Treatment of two monkeypox suspects found in Delhi has started at LJP Hospital. Both these patients are being treated according to the guidelines issued by the Health Department regarding monkeypox.
At present, samples of these patients have been sent to NIV Lab in Pune. While the investigation report is awaited. Only after the report comes, the curtain will be removed from whether both the suspects have monkeypox or not.
1 confirmed case of monkeypox in Delhi so far
Although only one confirmed case of monkeypox has been reported in the capital Delhi so far, but the threat of monkeypox is increasing amidst increasing cases of corona virus.
Rapid improvement in monkeypox patient
Along with increasing concern, a matter of relief has also come to the fore. According to Suresh Kumar, Medical Director of LNJP Hospital, the monkeypox patient is recovering fast, he will be discharged from the hospital soon.
Special preparation in LNJP to deal with Monkeypoxt
Special preparations have been made in LNJP to deal with the cases of monkeypox in Delhi.
This hospital has been established as a nodal hospital.
* A special ward with 10 beds has been prepared.
* Team of 20 doctors and medical staff to treat and care for patients
* Earlier also a suspected patient of monkey pox was admitted to LNJP Hospital, but later after investigation at NIV Lab in Pune, his report came negative.
Task force set up
The government has also geared up to deal with the disease like monkeypox across the country. A task force has been constituted regarding the steps to be taken to monitor the cases and prevent the infection.
What will the task force set up for monkeypox do?
This task force will guide the government in expanding the testing centers for infection detection in the country and will oversee the immunization related aspects for the prevention of this disease.
