New Delhi : A big historic decision has been taken in the country before the Republic Day. It is reported that on Friday, the Amar Jawan Jyoti flame will be merged with the National War Memorial Jyoti. An officer of the Indian Army gave this information on Thursday. “The flame of Amar Jawan Jyoti at India Gate will be extinguished and it will be merged with the flame of the National War Memorial at a ceremony on Friday,” he said. Krishna, who will fuse the flames of both the monuments.
Let us tell you that the India Gate Memorial was built by the British Government in the memory of the Indian soldiers who lost their lives between 1914-1921. At the same time, the Amar Jawan Jyoti was included in the memorial structure after India’s massive victory over Pakistan in the 1970s, in which 93,000 soldiers of the enemy country surrendered.
After a long wait, the National War Memorial was built in the India Gate complex by the Narendra Modi government and was inaugurated in 2019. After the building of the War Memorial, all military ceremonial events were transferred to it.
