According to the police officer, after getting information about the presence of terrorists, the security forces started a cordon and search operation at Pethseer in Sopore late on Monday night. The security forces got a big success in the early hours of Tuesday.
During the search operation, as the security forces were approaching the terrorist, his panic was increasing. In this fury, he started firing indiscriminately at the security forces. The operation turned into an encounter as terrorists opened fire on the security forces in the early hours of Tuesday.
Security forces also retaliated to the firing, in response to which one terrorist was killed.
According to the information received, a terrorist has been killed during an encounter with a joint team of security forces. However, the body has not yet been recovered. The search operation is still on. There may be more terrorists hiding in the area. At the same time, the police said that mobile internet service has been stopped in the entire area.
Two terrorists killed on Monday, one CRPF jawan injured
