New Delhi. A big accident has happened in Uttarakhand. The bridge connecting Dehradun and Rishikesh suddenly broke down, due to which more than a dozen vehicles fell down.
According to the information received, this bridge broke into two parts due to heavy rains.
Some two wheelers are also reported missing in the water flow. Cars are also stuck on both sides of the bridge. At present the rescue operation is going on.

The bridge connecting Dehradun and Rishikesh suddenly broke down. A large part of the middle of the bridge over the Jakhan river was filled and collapsed.
About a dozen vehicles were washed away due to the collapse of the bridge. During this, one person in the car got injured.
According to SDM Doiwala Laxmi Raj Chauhan, due to the strong flow of water, the bridge of Ranipokhari Jakhan river broke from the middle.
During this, some vehicles passing by were washed away. Some bike riders narrowly escaped. No major casualties have been reported so far. SDRF team and police administration people are present on the spot. The rescue work is going on fast.

The police, who reached the spot soon after the accident, completely stopped the movement from both the sides. On receiving information about the accident, former cabinet minister Hira Singh Bisht and former Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat have also reached the spot.
