New Delhi : The pace in Corona cases is not taking its name to stop. New records are being made every day. After some relief in Corona cases on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, the cases are again increasing rapidly. In the last 24 hours, corona cases crossed 3 lakhs, while the death toll crossed 450. The data of some states is yet to come, yet the corona cases have crossed the 3 lakh mark.
Last time more than 3 lakh cases were registered 8 months back on 15th May 2021. The condition of states like Kerala, Maharashtra, Assam and Karnataka is very worrying.
The total number of infected is 38 million
317,532 new cases were registered in India in the last 24 hours and this is 28 percent more than a week ago. On Wednesday, 2 lakh 82 thousand 9 hundred 70 new cases were registered. With these cases, the total number of infected has increased to 38 million and the total active cases have crossed the figure of 18.9. At the same time, 491 people have died in the last 24 hours while 2,23,990 people have been cured. India last reported over 3 lakh cases on May 15 (3,11,077).
Corona’s effect is widespread in Kerala
The positivity rate was 16.41 percent in one day across the country. Omicron’s total number of cases has risen to 9,287. The positivity rate in Kerala has been recorded at 37.17%. 49 people have died here in a day. 34,199 new cases have been registered in Kerala in a day. The total active cases in Kerala has gone up to 1,68,383. At the same time, the total death toll has reached 51 thousand.
40 thousand in Maharashtra and Karnataka
There has been a tremendous increase in the figures of corona in many states including Maharashtra, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Tamil Nadu. 43,697 new cases have been registered in Maharashtra which is 10 per cent more than yesterday. In Mumbai alone, 6,032 new cases of corona have been registered in the last 24 hours. At the same time, 40 thousand new cases have been registered in Karnataka.
8339 new cases have been registered in Assam, 15 people have died. The total cases have increased to 6,70,128.
In the national capital Delhi, 13,785 new cases of corona have been registered, while 35 people have died. In the last 24 hours in West Bengal, 11,447 new cases of corona and 38 more people have died. There have been 5,818 new cases and 4 deaths in Jammu and Kashmir. Goa has 3,936 new cases and 7 deaths.
