New Delhi : The 55-hour weekend curfew implemented in Delhi will not end for the time being. The Aam Aadmi Party government of Delhi had sent a proposal to the Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal to remove many restrictions, including lifting the weekend curfew, but the LG has refused it.
However, the LG has accepted some of the proposals of CM Kejriwal. Under this, 50 percent of the employees will be able to work in private offices.In such a situation, from Monday, government and private offices of Delhi will open with 50 percent employee capacity. But at present no relief has been given in the weekend curfew.
Delhi Weekend Curfew Will Stay Says LG Anil Baijal
Due to the slowdown in the pace of new cases of corona infection in the capital Delhi, a proposal to end the weekend curfew was sent by CM Arvind Kejriwal to Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal. In this proposal, Corona was cited as being under control. However, LG Anil Baijal has rejected this decision of CM.

Odd-even formula will be applicable in the markets as well
In the proposals sent by CM Kejriwal, it was also said to open all the markets. This too LG has refused to accept it for the time being. The Lieutenant Governor has said that status quo should be maintained with respect to the opening of markets along with the weekend curfew. A decision will be taken in this regard when the situation of corona virus infection improves further. Till then the odd-even formula will be applicable in the markets.
50 percent staff in offices
However, in the meantime, LG Baijal has accepted the proposal of the government in which permission was sought for the staff to come to private offices. Under this, now 50 percent employees will be able to come in private offices. This decision will come into effect from Monday 24 January.
