New Delhi : Due to Corona, in the last two years, the trend regarding food and drink has changed not only in India but in countries around the world. People have come to understand that there is a better option than vegetarianism to stay healthy and live longer.
A recent study by UK-based marketing research and data analysis firm YouGov has revealed that 65 percent of Indians have opted for a vegetarian diet in 2022. India ranks third in this study list after the US and UK. The reason is clear that a vegetarian diet is rich in fiber, antioxidants, potassium, magnesium, folate, vitamins A, C, and E, which keeps about 120 diseases away.
Not only this, 81 percent of Indians are trying to convert at least one meal of the day into a snack or fruit snack.
Rajasthan is the main vegetarian state of the country, where already about 74.9 percent of the people are vegetarian. It is followed by Haryana, Punjab, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.
Talking about the countries of the world, in the last two years, in countries like America, Britain, Canada, Australia, Germany, Singapore, Poland, Italy and Israel, non-vegetarian people have shifted towards vegetarian food on an average 500 to 1000 percent, which is now sometimes Only eat non veg.

According to a recent study by Forbes, 10 countries of the world are moving towards vegetarianism leaving meat. In the US, there has been an increase of 600 percent vegetarians in the last two years.
The demand for vegetarian food in the UK has increased by 1000%. In Poland, vegetarian restaurants have grown from 700 to 950 in two years. There are 4000 vegetarian restaurants in Canada, 1500 in Thailand, 700 in Israel and more than 5000 vegetarian restaurants in Australia. Vegetarians are increasing rapidly in Germany, Singapore, Taiwan and other countries as well.
