Amarnath Yatra 2022: The first batch of Baba Amarnath’s Yatra left from Jammu today. A large number of devotees have reached this time for the darshan of Baba Barfani. In Jammu camp, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha flagged off the first batch of Puja Archana Yatra.
The first batch left from the base camp Bhagwati Nagar in the early hours today amid tight security arrangements with shouts of Bam-Bam Bhole.
Elaborate security arrangements have been made in view of the Amarnath Yatra. At the same time, security has also been tightened at Kali Mata Temple located in Udhampur district.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha duly offered prayers before leaving for Baba Amarnath Yatra. After this the yatra was flagged off with chanting of mantras by the devotees of Lord Shiva. The yatra will start from June 30 on the traditional double route. The first is 48 km long Noonwan in Pahalgam of South Kashmir. The other is the 14 km Baltal route at Ganderbal in central Kashmir. The yatra will conclude on August 11, the day of Raksha Bandhan, as per tradition.

More than three thousand pilgrims have left for Amarnath Yatra from Kashmir today. The batch will depart for the holy cave on Thursday morning via the traditional Baltal and Pahalgam routes. This time Amarnath Yatra is starting after a gap of two years due to the pandemic corona virus. There is tremendous enthusiasm among Shiv devotees from all over the country for the Amarnath Yatra 2022.
