Jalpaiguri : After four months, all of Dooars’ national parks and protected forests were opened to tourists. Tourists from the tourism business are happy with this decision.
The state government has imposed restrictions on the entry of tourists to all national parks and protected forests in the state due to the Covid. They are closed to tourists from May 4. Despite the relaxation of restrictions, it has not been opened to tourists for so long. Due to which the tourism business fell on its face. From the resort owner, members of the Gypsy Owners Association demanded that the Watch Tower be opened to tourists.
After a long shutdown, the national park and protected forest reopened for tourists. However, if the corona rules are followed, then the tourists will be able to enter the forest, said the officials of the forest department. Seema Chowdhury, Warden of Jalpaiguri Wildlife, said, “All the protected forests and national parks have been opened for tourists. From now on, we will be able to walk in the forest again, “said Reshma Khatun, a tourist.” We have not been able to walk in the forest for so long. There was no opportunity to stay in the bungalows inside the forest for so many days due to corona-rule. I am happy to be able to go to the jungle again. “
