New Delhi : Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be in Chandigarh today. Along with Shah, besides the Chief Ministers of Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab, the administrators of Chandigarh, Border Security Force, National Investigation Agency, Narcotics Control Bureau along with the heads of anti-narcotics branch of the states, governors, DGPs and other officials were also present in the city.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will hold a meeting with three states including Punjab on Saturday regarding border security and increasing drug smuggling in the states of North India. According to the top official of the ministry, 19,320 kg recovered from Delhi in front of the Union Home Minister, 1,309 kg recovered from Chennai in Tamil Nadu, 6,761 kg recovered from Guwahati in Assam, 3,077 kg recovered from Kolkata in West Bengal i.e. more than 30 thousand kg in total. Drugs will be destroyed.
Chandigarh will get the gift of multilevel parking
Union Home Minister Amit Shah will also inaugurate the Government Model School in Mauli Jagran today. He will inaugurate a total of three schools built at a cost of Rs 35 crore in the city during the programme. Apart from this, he will also lay the foundation stone of multi-level parking to be constructed at a cost of Rs 70 crore in the ground between Chandigarh District Court and Judicial Academy in Sector 43.

Shiromani Akali Dal has demanded Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to register a protest in writing on the statement of Union Minister giving land to Haryana for the assembly. SAD spokesperson Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema has said that Punjab has an opportunity to protest. He said the chief minister should withdraw his statement of allotting land for the construction of a separate state assembly. He made this statement on the instructions of Aam Aadmi Party convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
