Dehradun, 24 August. District Magistrate Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar gave to the departmental officers during on-site inspection till the new library behind the Tibetan Market and Parade Ground. In addition to smart way footpath, drainage, sewerage and drinking water, the District Magistrate started the parking arrangements in Tibetan Market within 10 days, and to make the road two way, level the rough places and asphaltization works of the parking lot and road. Instructions have been given to the officials of Smart City to carry out immediate implementation.
During the inspection, he asked to start road excavation work for drainage and sewerage system as well as keep in mind the traffic conditions for traffic. During this, the traders of the Tibetan community apprised the District Magistrate about the problems of footpath and drainage system, parking, drinking water etc. in the Tibetan market. instructed to start immediately. He visited the parking lot to be built behind the parade ground for buses, two wheelers and four wheelers parked on the road. He obtained information about the parking map action plan from the concerned engineer. Expressing displeasure, he took seriously the negligence in the construction work on the parking lot so far. He started the parking construction work within 10 days along with submitting the map and other documents of the parking lot and road construction. He said that cleanliness in Tibetan market is not good. He asked the municipal officials to improve the cleanliness work in the Tibetan market. During the inspection, the District Magistrate said that along with filth and waterlogging, the pedestrians are getting complaints of inconvenience in commuting along the approach road, so the officials of the PWD Municipal Corporation and Smart City Project, taking personal care, themselves at the construction work site. By being present, speed up the works with complete transparency and quality.
