Dehradun: The graph of road accidents in the state is not taking its name. A road accident has happened late night on Badrinath Highway. A utility loader vehicle overturned, fell 400 meters from the road and reached another road. During this the driver got stuck in the hill and due to this his life was saved. After the information, the SDRF team reached the spot and the injured were admitted to the hospital.
According to information, SDRF received information late on Monday night that a vehicle had met with an accident near Sankanidhar, Kaudiyala. Based on the information received from the local person, the rescue team led by SI Manoj Rawat from Post Byasi immediately reached the spot. The injured driver has been identified as Rajesh Singh, (45 years), resident of Sankanidha, Tehri.
The accident happened while backing the car. On the connecting road, the vehicle rolled about 400 meters and fell on the main highway. While the driver of the vehicle got stuck on the hill by splashing in the middle.
SDRF Inspector Kavindra Singh Sajwan told that the rescue team made a ropeway to save the injured person at night and then reached the main road through a rope stretcher. After this the injured was taken to AIIMS Rishikesh from 108.
