New Delhi : The increasing speed of Corona in India has increased everyone’s concern. The sound of the fourth wave is also being heard. The situation remains worrying in many states. The positivity rate here is intimidating.
This is the reason why Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself also held an important meeting with the Chief Ministers of the states. In this meeting, emphasis was given on vaccination and testing. Amidst the growing threat of Corona, news of a relief has also come to the fore. Actually the government is considering reducing the time duration of the booster dose. It happens that soon more and more people will start taking the booster dose.
Govt Is Considering Reducing Booster Dose From 9 To 6 Months Amidst Increasing Covid Cases
The government may soon reduce the interval between the second dose of the covid vaccine and the booster dose. According to media reports, the National Technical Advisory Group on Immunization (NTAGI) is in favor of reducing this gap. He can soon recommend this to the government, on which a meeting is going to be held on April 29.
Chances increased after ICMR’s research
In a recent report by ICMR, it was found that the level of antibodies starts decreasing after about six months from the initial vaccination. In such a situation, ICMR had advised to get a booster dose soon. In fact, giving a booster dose increases immunity, which is why on the basis of the investigation, there is every possibility to reduce the difference between the second dose of vaccination and the booster dose from 9 months to 6 months.
What do experts say
Experts also agree to reduce the period between the second dose of the vaccine and the booster dose between Corona and the war. According to Dr Suresh Kumar, MD, LNJP Hospital, Delhi, the precautionary dose of corona vaccine i.e. booster dose will be helpful in boosting the immunity of the body.
Let us tell you that more and more people in the country have received both doses of the vaccine. This is the reason why Omicron and its sub-variants spread across the world have not seen much impact in India. The third wave also proved ineffective. In such a situation, the government is emphasizing on getting a booster dose amidst the sound of the fourth wave.
Condition of corona in the country
In the last 24 hours, 3303 cases of corona have been reported and 39 patients have died. However, 2,563 people were also discharged during this period. The number of active patients in the country also increased to 16,980, which is an alarm bell for the times to come. A total of 5,23,693 people have died since the beginning of the pandemic.
