Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Kahan has lost in the Supreme Court and will now face a no-confidence motion on 9 April. Along with this, the court has declared the dissolution of the National Assembly unconstitutional. In its decision, the court has also restored the National Assembly.
Along with this, the court has said that if the no-confidence motion is successful then the new Prime Minister should be elected.
In fact, the Supreme Court of Pakistan heard the matter related to the Deputy Speaker’s move to reject the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan. The Court found that it was not in the interest of the Constitution to dismiss the no-confidence motion.

After the court’s decision, the Leader of the Opposition in Asmbeli Shahbaz Sharif said that the prayers of the people of Pakistan have been accepted. Imran Khan has also said that whatever the decision of the court will be, he will accept it.

On April 3, Pakistan’s National Assembly Deputy Speaker Qasim Khan Suri rejected the no-confidence motion, citing Article 5 of the Constitution, calling it a “foreign conspiracy”. After this, Imran Khan sent a proposal to President Arif Alvi to dissolve the Parliament and all the assemblies of Pakistan, which he also accepted.
