New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate the renovated complex of Jallianwala Bagh Memorial to the nation today. This program will be done through video conferencing at 6:25 pm. The efforts made by the government to improve the campus will also be showcased during the event. Along with this, PM Modi will also inaugurate the museum galleries built in this memorial.
PMO gave information
Giving information in this regard, the PMO said that four museum galleries have been constructed to ensure the re-use of the buildings which have been lying idle for a long time and are underutilized. According to him, “these galleries show the special historical significance of various events that took place in Punjab during that period. Presentations will be made through audio-visual technology to showcase these events, including mapping and 3D illustration as well as art and sculpture installations.
The events of 13 April 1919 will be shown
It was told that during this time a sound and light show has been arranged to show the various incidents that happened on 13th April 1919. Apart from this, elaborate heritage reconstruction works have been done according to the local architectural style of Punjab. The Shaheedi well has been repaired and rebuilt with the newly developed exquisite structure.
The ‘Jwala Smarak’ considered to be the central site of this garden has been renovated as well as repaired, the pond located here has been redeveloped as a ‘lily pond’. In addition, several new areas have been developed to include Moksha Sthal, Amar Jyot and Dhwaj Mastul.

According to the information, during this program, Union Minister of Culture, Union Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs, Minister of State for Culture, Governor and Chief Minister of Punjab, Chief Ministers of Haryana, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, all Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha MPs of Punjab, Jallianwala Bagh National Memorial Trust members will be present.
