TMC leader Partha Chatterjee has been arrested in the teacher recruitment scam case in West Bengal. The ED has so far recovered more than Rs 50 crore cash and 6 kg gold from the house of his close aide Arpita Mukherjee.
At present, the ED is questioning him by taking him in custody. Meanwhile, news is being received that keeping Partha Chatterjee in custody is costing the Enforcement Directorate a lot. The ED has to make special arrangements for Partha Chatterjee’s bath to his food. In such a situation, his custody is getting heavy for the ED.
The custody of Partha Chatterjee is costing the ED. The big reason being told behind this is the weight of Partha Chatterjee. According to the information received, bathing is a problem for 111 kg Partha Chatterjee.
Parth used to take bath sitting on a stool at his house, so now the problem in ED is that special arrangements have to be made for his bath. He did not bathe in ED custody for two days. On being asked the reason, Chatterjee said that he is unable to take bath on his own and he needs special stool.
When Parth called a D Group employee to take a bath, he also complained that the bathroom was small, after which he was taken to the bigger bathroom of the ED officials.
At the same time, Parth did not even wear shoes himself many times at his house, some shoe wears him. In such a situation, the custody of Parth is becoming a different problem for the ED.
Special arrangements for food
Apart from taking bath and wearing shoes of Partha Chatterjee, another big problem in front of ED is that of Partha Chatterjee’s food. Actually Parth is a diabetic patient. There are always some problems due to the problem of increased weight.
In such a situation, arrangements have to be made for such food for Partha Chatterjee so that his sugar level is not too low. In ED custody, Partha Chatterjee was given rice in the afternoon on only one day and roti was served for lunch and dinner on the rest of the day.
