1 Near the Sitapur parking exit, the front of a Himgiri bus number UK 15 PA 0117, i.e. on the driver’s side, has been damaged due to the sudden fall of large stones and rock fragments from the hill above. Thankfully there were no passengers in the bus. Bus driver Subhash is a resident of Tehri. By reaching the spot, the traffic has been normalized by removing the stones that fell on the road. Efforts are being made to take the bus back to a safe place by means of cranes and other means.
2 Bus number UK 13 PA 0639 going to Sonprayag crashed due to sudden stone fall from the hill about 300 meters from Kakaragad, in which 2 people were seriously injured due to stone coming inside the bus from the driver’s front glass Were gone.
The injured were immediately sent to Agastyamuni Government Hospital through 108 ambulance. The driver of this vehicle, Anil Prasad, resident of Punad Rudraprayag, on the spot, when more stones were falling from the hill and this incident had also happened in front of his eyes, despite showing understanding and vitality within a few moments.
The bus was immediately put in back gear and brought back to a safe place and stopped. It was also natural for the other passengers sitting in the middle of the bus to cry out, all the passengers were safely deboarded from the bus. The traffic has been smoothened by the police who reached the spot.
