Tokyo Paralympics 2020: India’s Bhavina Patel has reached the final of table tennis in the Tokyo Paralympic Games. Bhavina has become the first table tennis player to reach the final in Paralympics. She took on China’s Zhang Miao in the semi-finals of the women’s singles Class 4 category on Saturday. In this match, she defeated the Chinese player by 7-11, 11-7, 11-4, 9-11, 11-8. Serbia’s player was defeated in the quarter final
Earlier on Friday, in the quarter-final match, Bhavina had faced Serbia’s player Borislava Perich Rankovi. In this match, Bhavina defeated the Serbian player to become the first table tennis player from India to reach the Paralympic semi-finals. In the quarter-final match, she defeated Serbia’s player 11-5, 11-6, 11-7 to ensure her medal.

Bhavina Patel is now just one step away from the gold medal. Their final match in table tennis will be held on August 29. Bhavina will face Chinese player Zhou Ying in the final. Started playing table tennis as an amateur
Bhavina started playing table tennis as a hobby. She reached the second position in the world ranking by winning the PTT Thailand Table Tennis Championship in 2011.
