Uttar pradesh : The state government is going to prepare an action plan to make all the civic bodies financially self-reliant and efficient. CM Yogi Adityanath has given such instructions to the officials in the team-9 meeting. He said that every district of the state has potential and there is a need for planned efforts to take advantage of this potential. He has specifically asked each district and municipal bodies to review their income growth regularly and prepare an action plan for the GDP.

The state government is making concerted efforts to make the civic bodies financially self-reliant. To strengthen the loss-making municipal bodies, municipal corporations, gram panchayats, 100 per cent collection of other taxes like house tax, water tax is being done. Efforts are also being made to make the civic bodies competent and economically self-reliant through central and state government schemes.
There should not be any problem of waterlogging anywhere- CM Yogi
With the strengthening of the municipal bodies, the basic facilities given to the people from the cleanliness of the cities to the people will be ensured easily. In a meeting with team-9 officials, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given strict instructions in view of the rains. Municipal bodies, municipal corporations, nagar panchayats have been asked to get the drains cleaned before the onset of rains. He has strictly said that there should not be any problem of waterlogging anywhere.

Yogi has asked the officials to thoroughly review the works done so far under the AMRUT scheme and try to clean as well as make the cities beautiful. He has told the officials that the intersections can be beautified with the help of public participation, people’s representatives, social organisations. Instructions have been given to focus on energy conservation and also to ensure that the street lights are turned on on time and switched off on time.
