Virat had said in a press conference that ‘I wanted to continue captaining the Indian team in both ODIs and Tests. But the Board of Control for Cricket in India removed him from the captaincy of ODIs without discussing him and made Rohit Sharma the new captain of ODI in his place.
Kohli also called Sourav Ganguly’s statement wrong
Virat Kohli also rubbished BCCI President Sourav Ganguly’s statement in his press conference in which Ganguly had said that the board had requested Kohli not to step down as T20 captain. Apart from this, the board had also said that Kohli was informed before changing the captaincy of ODIs. But Virat had denied this in his press conference. Now after Virat’s statement, BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has given a big statement on his behalf.

After Virat Kohli’s press conference, now Sourav Ganguly has given a big statement on this issue. Today, when Ganguly was asked about Virat’s press conference, he categorically refused to make any statement on it. Ganguly said, ‘I will not say anything on this matter. The BCCI is dealing with this matter on its behalf. Whenever there is a need regarding this, a statement will be issued by the BCCI. Now it has to be seen when BCCI will issue a statement on its behalf regarding Virat’s press conference.
